Methodology Behind the Map
Measuring Bearings and Paces:
We counted the amount of paces we took and recorded them and we also used GPS’s and
compasses to help record and measure our bearings.
How Bearings and Paces turned into Map:
We used a protractor to measure the bearings and we made 1 millimeter equal 1 pace.
How Google Earth helped create Contour Lines:
It helped us by visualizing where the contour lines should be placed.
What are Contour Lines?
Contour lines show the elevation change on a topographic map.
Spatial Awareness:
With Spatial Awareness we used paces/footsteps as well as cardinal directions.
